Hoover-Minthorn House, 115 S. River St., Newberg
The Hoover-Minthorn House, built in 1881, was the childhood home of President
Herbert Hoover. At age 11, an orphaned Herbert Hoover lived with his aunt and
uncle, Laura and Dr. Henry Minthorn, from 1885 to 1889.
