Martha’s Cottage puts out welcome mat

There are plenty of clean towels on the shelf in the laundry room,
the kitchen is stocked with cookware, plates and cutlery, and the
coffee pot is standing ready. Martha’s Cottage is ready for
guests at 101 Fifth St. in Dayton.
Martha Goodrich, who lives in Dayton herself, has spent a year renovating
the light, airy little house into the county’s first vacation rental.
She calls it a “wine country guesthouse.” She said it’s
perfect for wine country visitors who want a house to stay in rather than
a traditional room in a bed and breakfast or motel.
